Back in 2024, I attended this event for the first time and had an interesting experience. The African Heritage area was incredibly colorful and photogenic, making it a great place for photography. However, I found myself spending more time taking pictures than actually interacting with people.
Meanwhile, the neighboring Jamaica Festival had a completely different atmosphere—full of positive energy, music, creativity, and people enjoying themselves. The combination of reggae music, delicious food, and artistic performances created a welcoming and lively environment.
This year, I'd like to challenge myself to do something different: connect more with people from African cultural communities and learn more about the diverse cultures represented at the festival. It should be an interesting cultural adventure!
Of course, we'll also explore the Jamaica Festival, enjoy the music, and sample some amazing food along the way.

Food Recommendation
If you're wondering what to eat, my top recommendation is definitely Jamaican Jerk Chicken!
Most of the Jamaican food vendors specialize in jerk chicken, and there are usually a few Cuban sandwich stands as well.
Let's enjoy great food, music, culture, and conversations together!
